'Meet The Author' event at Active Cafaidh, Aviemore in conjunction with Waterstones, Aviemore

Mirren Jones launched the first literary event in a planned series in the superb surroundings of the new Active Cafaidh. An enthusiastic audience listened to readings from Eight of Cups and engaged in a very lively and humorous question and answer session with the authors.

Twelve would-be writers are now a step closer to achieving their dream of completing a book, following the first Mirren Jones writers' workshop, 'Is there a book in you', where we shared our experiences of bringing the germ of an idea to a published work, using a variety of tips and tools in an interactive format.

The participants rated the workshop as:

'Inspiring, informative and fun, with a real sense of can-do, which all authors need.'
